Medical Services The Fire Department is the primary agency for all EMS-related responsibilities including:  Providing emergency medical care and transport.  Coordinating EMS resources.  Requesting additional EMS assets as necessary. Responsibilities related to County Coroner include:  Coordinating mass fatality operations under the County’s Multi-jurisdictional Mass Casualty Incident Plan, Mass Fatality Annex with the Medical Examiner and funeral directors to provide identification and disposal of the dead.  Sharing information with ESF 6 to assist in family reunification.  Providing counseling to the bereaved.
