OUR POOLS YEAR ROUND POOLS Dive into fun and relaxation with Clark County’s premier aquatics program. We offer a variety of pools across our community that cater to swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re looking to take a refreshing swim, enjoy a leisurely day with the family, or join a water fitness class, we have the perfect pool for you. Welcome to Clark County Aquatics! For your safety and the safety of others, only clothing that does not pose a safety risk may be worn in the facility. 2. Supervision: Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult who must be in the water within arm’s reach of the child at all times. 3. Conduct: No running, horseplay, or diving from the pool deck. 4. Health: Please avoid swimming if you have an open wound or are feeling unwell. 5. Food and Drinks: Food and drinks in designated areas only. Recommended Age: 3 YRS - 5 YRS Participant Ratio: 1 instructor to 6 participants Pool Location: Family Pool (0 to 4 feet) Skills Required to Enter:1) Separate from a parent/guardian while taking part in group activities 2) Listen & take direction in a group setting Class Goals: To build basic water competency with minimal support. Skills Included: Safe water entry & exit, blowing bubbles, bobs, relaxed submersion, rolling from front to back floats, streamlines on front & back, flutter kicks on front & back, proper kickboard use, basic freestyle, finning on back, jumping into water with submersion, and basic water safety skills. Skills Required to Pass: 1) Jump into water, completely submerge head, resurface, and exit the pool using ladder or stairs 2) Start 10 ft. away from wall or stairs: front float for 5 seconds, roll over to a back float for 5 seconds, then swim back to start with minimal support Stroke Introduction - 45 min. Recommended Age: 6 YRS - 9 YRS Participant Ratio: 1 instructor to 6 students Pool Location: Family Pool & Lap Pool (4 to 9 feet) Skills Required to Enter: 1) Jump into water, completely submerge head, resurface, and exit the pool using ladder or stairs 2) Start 10 ft. away from wall or stairs: front float for 5 seconds, roll over to a back float for 5 seconds, then swim back to start with minimal support Class Goals: To refine freestyle, introduce backstroke, swim without any support, and build confidence entering the lap pool. Skills Included: Independent air recovery, rolling to back as air recovery for freestyle, longer distances for freestyle, basic backstroke, changing direction while swimming, feet-first deep water entries, introduction to treading, and basic water safety skills. Skills Required to Pass: 1) Jump into lap pool and return to the wall 2) Swim approx. 12 yards of freestyle independently 2) Swim approx. 12 yards of backstroke independently Stroke Progression - 45 min. Recommended Age: 7 YRS - 12 YRS Participant Ratio: 1 instructor to 8 students Pool Location: Lap Pool (7 to 9 feet) Skills Required to Enter: 1) Jump into lap pool and return to the wall 2) Swim approx. 12 yards of freestyle independently 2) Swim approx. 12 yards of backstroke independently Class Goals: To refine basic swimming strokes to achieve proficiency (freestyle & backstroke), review treading, and to introduce elementary backstroke and breaststroke. Skills Included: Side breathing for freestyle to improve proficiency & endurance, refined backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, basic treading, and basic water safety skills. Skills Required to Pass: 1) Jump into lap pool, fully submerge, swim 12 yards of backstroke, turn around and swim freestyle with effective side breathing, then exit the pool 2) Swim 12 yards of elementary backstroke 3) Tread for 15 seconds with head above the water AQUATIC SPRINGS INDOOR POOL Advanced Stroke Development - 45 min. Age: 6 YRS - 17 YRS This class is designed to introduce participants to the mechanics of aquatics sports such as competitive swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, and junior lifeguarding skills. Water safety skills are also incorporated into the lessons. Intro to AQ Sports This class will not be offered during Session 6. Artistic Swimming - 60 min. Age: 6 YRS - 17 YRS This is a recreational level artistic swimming program that encourages teamwork and self-esteem. Participants will learn the fundamentals of artistic swimming, which blends creative movement and dance in the water. Artistic Swimming Day Dates Time Price T/TH 08/18 - 09/24 4:00 PM $60 Water Polo - 60 min. Age: 6 YRS - 17 YRS This recreational water polo course covers teamwork, fitness, critical thinking, decision making, agility and endurance. Participants will learn proper swimming techniques, how to tread water efficiently using the eggbeater technique, handle, pass and shoot a ball, along with goal keeping. Water Polo This class will not be offered during Session 6. Recreational Swim Team - 60 min. Age: 6 YRS - 17 YRS This is a recreational level swim team program that encourages teamwork and self-esteem. Participants will practice developing strokes and improve personal times and skills. Emphasis is on personal improvement. Skills Required to Enter: 1) Swim 25 yards of freestyle with effective side breathing 2) Swim 25 yards of backstroke 3) Swim 25 yards of elementary backstroke 4) Swim 25 yards of breaststroke. 5) Swim 5 strokes of butterfly 6) Complete 1 minute of treading. It is highly recommended that the participant complete Advanced Stroke Development before enrolling. Junior Lifeguard is here to help! Class Goals: To recognize and understand emergency responses in and out of the water, learn and apply basic life support, learn and apply basic first aid, and work on professional development. Skills Required to Enter: 1) Swim 25 yards while using the rescue tube 2) Swim 25 yards without using the rescue tube 3) Tread water for 30 seconds Jr. Guard This class will not be offered during Session 6. Adult/ Teen Swimming Lessons - 3 Weeks Beginner - 45 min. Age: 13+ YRS These swim lessons are designed to meet each participant’s personal goals within a group setting. Instructors work with each participant to overcome apprehension and learn basic swimming skills such as floating, submersion, and basic stroke development. This class mostly takes place in shallow water, however it may move to deep water depending on participants’ readiness. Intermediate/ Advanced - 45 min. These swim lessons are designed to meet each participant’s personal goals within a group setting. Instructors work with each participant to refine skills such as treading, diving, and stroke development. This class usually takes place in the lap pool, however it may move to shallow water if needed. Water Aerobics - 6 Weeks Jump into our water aerobics classes and build cardiovascular fitness and strength. Our water aerobics classes are easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Our water aerobics classes are suitable for any fitness level, from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Working out in the water is a fun way to improve your joint range of motion, flexibility and balance through the comfortable resistance of water. Participants should work at their own pace and let the instructor know of any problems. Age: 13+ YRS Shallow Water Aerobics - 60 min. This class takes place in the shallow water (3-5 ft.). INDOOR RENTALS RENTAL NOTES SECURITY DEPOSIT A security deposit of $100.00 is required for all indoor rentals and will be included with the total rental price. SETUP AND CLEANUP Setup and cleanup are the responsibility of the renter and should be conducted during the reservation times the renter request. The canyons summer climate has a 76/40 degree temperature range with moderate rainfall and occasional thundershowers in late July and early August. An average winter brings a 30/-5 degree temperature variance with a 3-10 foot average snowfall. Day Camp is an all-day, supervised program designed to entertain and engage youth (ages 6-12) when school is not in session. This fun filled program focuses on crafts, sports games, and other fun activities. Winter Break December 22, 2025- January 2, 2026 (Online registration begins October 16) 7AM-6PM | $21 daily Payment in full is required to reserve your child’s space. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Refunds will only be issued if notice is given by WEDNESDAY of the prior week. There are no refunds or credits for missed days. Parents/Guardians are required to complete a participant registration/information form each new season. DAY CAMP POLICIES AFTER SCHOOL TEEN OPEN GYM DAY CAMP Join our supervised after-school recreational-based program for children in sixth through twelfth grades (ages 11-18). Offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school during the school year from 3 PM to 6 PM Participants are required to complete a 25-26 school year waiver and present a school ID or proof of school enrollment each day at check-in. Once registered, participants may check themselves in and out of the after school program Once they leave/check out of the designated program area, they cannot return for the day, and we are no longer responsible for them. YOUTH AND TEEN PROGRAMMING TEEN LEADERS OF THE FUTURE (LOTF) The Leaders of the Future Program is sponsored by the Clark County Department of Parks and Recreation for teens 13-17 years of age. The objective of the program is to create and maintain high standards of education, character, citizenship, and skill development to meet the future leadership needs of the community. Teen Leaders will focus on service to the community, leadership development, job training, and social recreation. All applicants must complete, sign and turn in the Teen Leader application and include two letters of recommendation from their references (non-family members). They must complete an interview with the Center’s Leader of the Future Supervisor. Applicants will be selected based on their written application, interview performance, and availability of open positions within the program. LOTF PROGRAM WILL RETURN IN SUMMER 2026

Half of the Gym is also available. (Food allowed, but not smoking or alcoholic beverages). Multi-Purpose Room - Perfect for small parties (i.e. showers, anniversaries, graduation parties, meetings, etc.). (Food allowed, but not smoking or alcoholic beverages). Note: We do not allow confetti, glitter, helium balloons, smoke machines, or use of alcohol in our facility. PARK RENTAL AREAS Area A– Just North of the Recreation Center and shaded by large trees. It has 14 covered tables and one large grill. Area B– Is next to the playground and restrooms in the park. It has 14 covered tables and two small grills Areas 7 and 8– Adjacent to Area A. It has 4 uncovered tables and 1 grill. Areas 9, 11, 13 and 14– Features 2 uncovered tables and 1 grill. Cleaning Deposit - A cleaning deposit of $100.00 is required for all indoor rentals prior to rental. This amount will be refunded if the premises are left clean and undamaged and the event is concluded on time. Setup and Cleanup - Setup and cleanup are the responsibility of the renter and should be conducted during the reservation times the renter request. All tables & chairs used for said event must be cleaned & staff will put away. Renters are responsible to cover tables with tablecloths. Equipment – The center has approximately 10 round - 5ft tables, 20 - 6ft rectangular tables, and approximately 130 chairs that can be provided at user’s request. Additional equipment must be supplied by the user. No Smoking or Alcoholic Beverages - Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere within Paradise Recreation Center. Excessive Noise Levels - The playing of loud music or the creation of any other disturbing noises will not be permitted anywhere in Paradise Recreation Center. REFUND POLICY If a class or program is cancelled by the department, a full refund will be given. Refunds will be issued if requested by the close of business on the first day of class. No refunds will be issued after the first day of class. Credits issued to household account will expire after 90 days. Day Camp registration cancelled by an individual will be refunded 100% only if notice of non-attendance is given by the Wednesday of the prior week. INDOOR TRACK Our second floor features a rubberized indoor track to enjoy walking, jogging, or running in an airconditioned setting. Each lap on our track is equal to 1/10 of a mile. Use of the track is FREE. We ask that you check in at the front desk prior to your walk/run. Youth 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult. No children under the age of 13 unless approved by a supervisor. CLUB SILVERADO AFTERSCHOOL DAY CAMP Join our supervised after-school recreational-based program for children ages 6-12. Our program provides recreational activities both indoors and outdoors along with arts & crafts, tournaments, and movies. Monday-Friday 2-6pm There is a one time $20 fee per school year, per participant. Participants must be at least 6 years of age and be currently enrolled into first grade in order to participate. Participants have supervised access to our game room and the art room on select days. See program calendar for more information. Day Camp is an all-day, supervised program designed to entertain and engage youth (ages 6-12) when school is not in session. This fun-filled program focuses on crafts, sports, games, and other fun activities. Monday, September 15 Friday, October 17 Monday, October 20 7am-6pm Day Camp is $21 per day, per child. Payment in full is required to reserve your childs space. Day Camp availability is on a first come, first served basis. Parents/Guardians are required to complete a participant registration/information form annually. Campers must bring their own breakfast and lunch. All campers should bring an afternoon snack. Day Camp close at 6:00 p.m. Beginning at 6:01 p.m., a late fee of $5.00 will be assessed for every 10 minutes the participant that remains at the site. YOUTH/TEEN PROGRAMMING REFUND POLICY If a class or program is cancelled by the department, a full refund will be given. Refunds will be issued if requested by the close of business on the first day of class. No refunds will be issued after the first day of class. Credits issued to household account will expire after 90 days. Day Camp registration cancelled by an individual will be refunded 100% only if notice of non-attendance is given by the Wednesday of the prior week. During this time, teens can play basketball or volleyball (volleyball will be offered on Monday & Thursday only) Monday-Friday 2-5pm Teens ages 18 may be asked to show proof of school enrollment. Teen Open Gym and any activities scheduled during Teen Open Gym are strictly teen-only. Parents, guardians, and siblings under the age of 13 are not permitted to be in the gym. All participants must be registered prior to participating, parents are required to complete information waivers. ** These programs follow the CCSD calendar. There is no program on days there is no school. There is no program on staff development days or holiday breaks unless otherwise scheduled. Once registered participants may check themselves in and out of the program. Once they leave/check out of the designated program area, they cannot return for the day, and we are no longer responsible for them.

CHAMPIONS OF YOUTH BEYOND THE BASKET STAY ON TRACK LEADERS OF THE FUTURE Beyond the Basket Mentoring, a two-month basketball and mentorship program for middle school youth. Participants will learn basketball fundamentals, and explore healthy lifestyles, academic enrichment, and leadership development to unlock their potential. We provide opportunities for youth to earn school credits. These workshops and activities include life skills, personal development, job readiness, and recreational leisure activities. Teens volunteer and are engaged for the duration of their required credits New Directions for Youth (G.I.T.) (LOTF) Our staff foster youth in leadership and character development. We give youth voice a space and face. Teens participate in workshops, activities, service to the community and seldom field trips. Our staff are connected to a variety of middle and high school students in the Clark County School Districts, right on their campuses. We provide group mentoring, facilitating workshops and a space for them to have a voice with supportive adults. Our initiative to reach outside of the Clark County Recreation Centers fosters recruitment to impact the enrollment and participation in our CCPR centers Tue.-Thur. 9 am-1 pm National Recreation Association (NRPA) is our preventive program framework wrapped around the NRPA youth mentoring. It focuses on educational enrichment gaps and serving under resourced communities with an approach to initiate comprehensive youth development opportunities. COMMUNITY SERVICE GRAFFITI ABATEMENT Back On Track We serve court ordered teens who are required to volunteer community service. Volunteer opportunities such as: service to the community with special events set-up/breakdown and more. Teens are allowed up to four hours during weekdays and eight hours on weekends. We provide after-school community service projects and weekends for youth to accumulate and complete their required community service hours. Tue.-Thur. 2:00 pm-6:00 pm Code Enforcement Program Teens meet our staff at our main campus to receive transportation to a site organized by our partners code enforcement specialist and painters. For up to 4 hours, they overlay paint on graffiti painting until it is completed with a fresh and new coat of paint on that property. Teens receive water and a light lunch during their service. 1st & 2nd Sat. 8:00 am-12:00 pm GANG INTERVENTION Our staff specialist offers a space to unlearn and learn new mindsets and behaviors with a life skills curriculum that foster a new direction of activities. These teens are court-ordered to attend five consecutive classes with a certificate of completion incentive for their cooperation and commitment to their obligations to the court.
